We already told you about Paris, because it is the birthplace of the brand, but we’d like to tell you about another city of Light, Lyon. Today, we take a tour in one of my favorite area: Confluence.
Why so special? Well, it is totally artificial and was created in the 18th century at the end of the peninsula, between Rhône and Saône. The remaining warehouses still demonstrate of the ancient industrial activity, but the conversion of the area is on its way!
I usually go there following the Saône quayside that has been transformed few years ago and where modernity meets the authenticity of the other bank. You’ll see extraordinary buildings, like the orange and green cubes with their vortex, the mirror building, or the Confluence museum… A real canvas for modern architecture! But more importantly, this area has been recognized as sustainable by the WWF.
After the stroll (& the shopping at the Mall Confluence), you can enjoy a Franco-Japanese diner by the water at the Do Mo. And if you feel like dancing, you can climb the rooftop of Le Sucre for an incredible view, and line-up!
Each year, the Biennale d’Art Contemporain takes place in Confluence: reserve your week-end, you have until January !
